How Green Valley Mill

Got Started

Green Valley Mill was the idea of Sid and Sydric Schuyler. They were loggers that liked to think outside the box. They had the opportunity to purchase a US Forest Service burned timber salvage sale. This sale included a large amount of valuable wood that the conventional mills did not want to deal with. The Schuyler’s contacted Phil Johnson who had saw-milling experience. Phil had the perfect yard to setup a prototype salvage milling operation. This fit right in with the existing operation that was recycling old building materials and making rock and soils from the recycled materials.
